Lithium Ion Battery Scrap shall consist of spent batteries that contain segregated lithium ion battery scrap. The content of lithium ion batteries will vary according to the make, model and manufacturer of each battery, in general typical lithium ion batteries contain a graphite anode, a metal oxide cathode (commonly cobalt) and a lithium salt electrolyte.
